Based in Newcastle (at the Newcastle Financial Planning Group office), Rhys takes pride in providing tailored financial strategies that empower clients to make informed decisions about their future.

With a background in business and financial planning, Rhys holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from Charles Sturt University. His career began in practice support roles before progressing into financial advice, where he discovered his ability to make complex financial concepts accessible and relatable for clients.

Rhys enjoys the rewarding nature of financial advice—helping clients navigate challenges, reduce stress, and build confidence in their financial future. He believes in the power of financial education and is particularly passionate about increasing financial literacy, especially for young people who may not receive enough guidance early in life.

When he’s not working, Rhys enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife, Annie, and their daughter, Zoe. With another baby on the way, family life keeps him busy, as does cheering on the Newcastle Knights, watching F1, and following the English Premier League. He also stays active through exercise and loves exploring new destinations with great beaches and even better food.
